Why do conservatives insist on being a comedy act?...

Why do conservatives insist giving themselves up to be the brunt of jokes?
Teabag parties? (Do they have no knowledge of sexual innuendo?)
The National Organization for Marriage is calling their new movement 2M4M... which sounds oddly similar to M4M. Not surprisingly that is commonly used to identify a man looking for another man ( ie homosexuality). They also want a "Rainbow coalition"...
I mean seriously? Seriously...
Michael Steele might as well be a cartoon character. Come to think of it Steele and Jhindal both look like a lovable morons (Maybe Inspector Gadget) while Limbaugh looks like a real life attempt at Dr. Claw.
Glenn Beck is...well I'm really not sure what character Beck is but I'm sure there's one out there.
How in the hell is the republican party messing up so badly? I mean this has to be a joke. Maybe Ashton Kutcher is behind this and it's all just one big episode of punked.
That republicans don't just hold different views but are also wildly out of touch with society in general. Which answers the question of how do they not know these sexual innuendos...
That doesn't necessarily explain just how much they are f^&king up.
To me, there have been times in the past where republicans (conservatives in general) had at least a certain amount of common decency and carried themselves as respected individuals. Now I just have no clue what is going on.
