this is a well organized effort and it's simplistic in a time when people are fearful and looking for simple answers to complex problems. Not to mention that to a lot of the potential attendees this is a pocketbook issue and that makes it particularly potent.

1. And, as Republicon Occultists are well aware

"Mars is conjunct Uranus in Pisces."*

* At least according to those who channel Ronald Reagan's Dead Republicon Astrologer

2. It is still the most marginal thing to happen since the advent of the know nothings.

Seems big now.
Won't tomorrow.

3. By cops in riot gear?
I hope they all have the permits to assemble they need or all this is illegal. I hope they get their asses maced and a stun gun blast to match. Dumbshits. Good to seem them on the other side after 8 years of near Fascism.

9. Wow.
DIslike them, dislike their message, but you want them to have to have a permit to peaceably assemble? They already have one, and so do you.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

4. As far as I am concerned I could not care less about tea parties.

The people have no idea what they are talking about. They constantly vote against their own best interests and let the wealthy repubs use them for cannon fodder in their wars to increase their wealth at the expense of the rest of us.

They are only being promoted by FOX and laughed at by everyone else.

7. For sure
These protesters have taken the bait....hook, line and sinker. Being fed baloney that if they help the wealthy from being taxed more that they can be wealthy, too. When in reality these protests are only helping the wealthy and going against their own interests.

5. I'll be surprised if they have a coherent message
I have no doubt there are enough insane people to form a small gathering, but for all the press Faux has given this thing they might have worked harder on having something to actually say.

6. What are they actually going to do?
Tampa's Tea Party page is a Facebook page and I don't want to register to see it.

8. A few. And they will be the focus of all the attention.
The majority that are not will be ignored.

Just like commission only sale men positions. They hire as many as they can. Those that are worthwhile stick around. The rest go away on their own.

Of course the media will not focus on the failed protests...just the few that have a few hundred wing nuts with signs.

Speaking of which...I just can't WAIT for the misspelled signs of the day!
