Where Are The Massive Teabag Protests? Nothing In LA and OC. Over-Hyped?
I don't see any protests in LA or OC. I called up some buddies working downtown, and they really have not seen any protests. I personally have seen much larger protests over gay marriage, immigration, Earth Day, and employee labor disputes. Yet, I see a lot of coverage by the mainstream media that was not present for such events.

What gives? With all the hype, I was expecting something on par with the protests against Congress's efforts to increases criminal penalties for illegal immigration.

2. Fact: MOST teabagging is done in private.

3. Over-hyped? A Fox News concoction over-hyped?
How could anyone possibly think that?

Portland is supposed to be hosting its own batch of tea-baggers at 6 p.m. Maybe Los Angeles is having their gathering too late to make the evening news as well. Then they can all gripe about how they didn't get no coverage on the 5 o'clock news!

4. Maybe it is like here - the protests here are planned to start at 4:30
Probably because the hourly wage earners cannot get any time off to participate in events that advocate the overthrow of the federal government. Or time off for illness, child care, elder care, or any other reason...

8. AP Reports "Thousands" Are "Expected" To Attend - Did They RSVP?
You almost have to love the media for their attempts to give these "protests" legs, as well as their insistence that this is a spontaneous protest, but for Fox News and the GOP heavily hyping this "grassroots" event.

10. ROFLMAO at 7 PM at the Van Nuys Civic Center...........
Nobody will be there - all the government offices close by 5 PM. And it's in the middle of the barrio, so the local residents won't understand a word the teabaggers are saying (huge immigrant population almost exclusively, and DIRT poor).
