things like access to toilets, insurance, safety issues, there is a legitimate reason to acquire a permit. We had to do it.

But it's a requirement that is very often abused in order to limit speech and represents - in my view - unnecessary authoritarianism.

By all means hold people accountable for the consequences of poorly planned events, but don't use prior restraint in the form of permits.
