1. They don't need to read.
Fox News tells them everything they need to know.

There is nothing wrong with that.

5. Of course they do .........
Otherwise, how could they afford to be at all those rallies in the middle of a work day?

Clipping coupons, I'd say, and living on the interest, the lot of them. They've got that "filthy rich" look on them .............

10. I think it's very funny -
the poor people out there in the cold rain (in the DC area, anyway), objecting to the reality that our President gave them a tax break.

Clueless................

19. reminds me of Joe the plumber
He was very upset about taxes being increased. However, everyone knows that even a real plumber doesn't make anything close to $250,00 so it seemed a little fishy. Joe the plumber then tried to spin a story of working as a plumber for years with the hope that he would one day own the businness. It was his life's dream. That was a total bunch of BS. Furthermore, his business like many other small ones would not be likely to generate over 250,000 a year. When he finally admitted that there was no chance his taxes would increase under Obama's plan, he said that Obama would take advantage of people by drastically reducing the amount of money someone could make without facing tax increases. Obama would have to drop the upper limit to much less than $100,000 for Joe to have his taxes increased.

6. That's why
Edited on Wed Apr-15-09 03:14 PM by Stagecoach
These people can't see they're being used by the wealthy.

These protesters seem to think if they help keep the ones making over $250,000 from getting their taxes raised, that they, themselves, will be making $250,000 as well because of it.

When in reality the ones making over $250,000 could careless about the ones making less than that.

What they're protesting for now (no more taxes) is exactly what they're getting.

This is like a game of.... "I don't want my taxes raised"...."They won't be raised"

"You didn't hear me....I don't want my taxes raised!"....."They won't be raised"

"What is it you don't understand? I don't want my taxes raised"......"Your taxes won't be raised"

"I'm only going to say this one more time....I don't want my taxes raised!!!!"...."Your taxes won't be raised"

8. Exactomundo!
That's why you see W and McCain/Palin stickers on the bumpers of poor old rusted out vehicles that look like they are about to fall apart. That is their hope.

I do know many very wealthy people who are quite philanthropic and do give to the poorest of the poor, and for education, etc. You can't really use a broad brush on all of them.

9. And those idiots are STILL SAYING that their entire $250K will be taxed
not the amount that is over $250K.

You'd think they'd gone to college or something!

12. One more thing
You know the irony of all this?

These protesters say they're mad about the bailouts that took place.....yet the only ones having their taxes go up are those making over $250,000. So, basically they're protesting those people's (the ones making over $250,000) taxes are being raised. Yet, do they realize who some of those people are? The same CEOs that received bailout money, either through bonuses or salaries!

In other words, with these protests, they're basically saying the people that received money through these bailouts shouldn't be taxed more....yet they're upset these bailouts took place!
