Did any of the Teabagger parties break 1000 today?
I've mostly been in meetings, just getting home. Did any of these actually draw a "big" crowd?

5. The one here in Pullman
Washington said they drew between 180 and 200 people. Funny thing though, I was there and saw between 30 and 50 people on and off. Counting has never been a conservative strong point.

6. Or go about it from the aggregate standpoint...
Does the *total* number of teabaggers add up to a *single* Obama rally?

8. I went to a "teabagging" party in Long Beach, CA. today...
There were 20-30 people there. (There are 450,000 people in Long Beach.) They didn't have a clue. They yelled at me because I had a sign pointing out that most services (streets, sidewalks, parks, libraries, etc.) were paid for with TAXES. They were mean and surly. I got the distinct impression that they were mad because Obama won. Virtually everybody left after one hour. Back to work, no doubt.

Reminded me of Monty Python's "Life Of Brian" where the monks were walking in a line, chanting, and hitting themselves in the head with bricks.

Well, to paraphrase a well-worn right wing mantra, "Get over it."

Obana's margin of victory in the '08 election was 2-1/2 times what Bush's was in 2004. Now THAT's a mandate!

The organizer of this "teabagging" party failed to get the necessary permit. She also pushed my wife and told us we couldn't be there. After I told her we could because there were two of us, (Under local law, you need 3 or more to have an "unlawful assembly") and after I told her I would summon the police if she kept harrassing us, she left us alone. And we left them alone.

Totally clueless, and I predict this "movement" will die out of its own accord. (Too much effort.) Either that or they will become radicalized and be shot by the Guard. Ignorance of what is is no excuse.

The organizer of this event was bitching online because she had no help and no money. Ain't that the Neoconservative way. Well, sister, get used to it unless you have a shitload of money. Reality bites, doesn't it?

As a home owner, I will continue to pay my property taxes as long as I use services paid for with taxes.

11. Long Beach is pretty liberal...
Thankfully!

The organizer is a big whiner, no question. My s/o has been following her whine-a-thon.

How pathetic is this?

They need to get out of MY park! If they don't want to pay taxes, they have no right to use that damn park!

So are liberal protests, to be fair. They're just exaggerated in the wrong direction.

14. Denver: 5,000 attend tax-day 'tea party' at Capitol

That pic doesn't look like 5,000.

More than 5,000 people crowded onto the west side of the state Capitol this afternoon, as part of a nationwide string of tax-day protests dubbed "tea parties."

Speakers at the protest, including a number of Republican activists, lawmakers and candidates, railed against current federal spending, President Barack Obama and Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter. They called the economic stimulus package fiscally irresponsible, and they accused politicians who supported it of ignoring the voice of the people.

"The people in power deceived us," Weld County District Attorney Ken Buck told the crowd during the rally, "and we were complacent. We are complacent no more."

Protesters at the rally carried signs with slogans such as "Obamanomics:

Chains we can believe in" and "We're not Europeans, we're Americans." A number said they believe the president's economic policies are pushing the nation toward socialism and financial ruin.
"It's pretty sad that I've lived 65 years and never had a reason before to protest something," said Bertha Holland, who carried a sign that read, "Don't stimulate. Liberate."

a decently sized NFL Stadium, despite all the RW Media sponsorship. Shoot, Bonnaroo draws more people than these little temper tantrums....
