The Secessionist-what if the repugs win in 2012???
For the sake of arguement, let us pretend the Repugs win the Presidency in 2012.

Will all the repugs calling for secession and revolt against the government suddenly have a change of heart about seceding from the Union?

And if so, can a reasonable person conclude their current positions are strictly based on partisan politics as opposed to any deep seated principles they have against government?

I think I will pose this question to the teabaggers.

1. Pff.
The same people who secretly applauded Tim McVeigh blowing up the Murrah building, and were rooting for the Waco child molesters when they took on the ATF were the same people who said they loved America for the last 8 years of the Bush presidency.

And now they hate the government again.

A reasonable person can conclude that their patriotism from the last 8 years was as worthless as their HS diplomas.

7. It should be obvious to anyone that this is pure political hypocrisy.

These secessionists were the same ones that literally branded anyone that disagreed with Bush as a traitor. Now, with less than 100 days under Obama's Presidency, they are proposing treason as a means of political protest. What they are proposing is not some kind of hypothetical, or theoretical harm either. They are threatening a literal dissolution of the Union.

That is fucking treason.

8. I seems to me that there was a decent bit of discussion
about the "blue states" forming their own country and leaving the "red states" to fend for themselves here on DU over the past 6-8 years. I haven't heard a peep about that since the election, so can a reasonable person conclude that those DUers who advocated for it held "positions are strictly based on partisan politics as opposed to any deep seated principles they have against government"?
