I'm surrounded by RWers all day at work, and they screamed bloody murder at Bush's spending, too. If someone had organized tea parties back then, these guys all would have attended.

I live in Maryland but spend most of my time in VA. In VA, almost everyone I know is a RWer, and believe me, the bailouts / spending are a major problem for these people, and they all think taxes are too high. Like their opinion on Obama's tax cuts, they thought Bush's cuts were too low, too.

You're right that they hate Obama, but I remain convinced that for most RWers the tea parties are exactly what they claim they are.
