MediaMatters: Fox Snooze really put the word out for TeaBag Fest

A Media Matters study found that from April 6 to April 13, Fox News featured at least 20 segments on the "tea party" protests scheduled to take place on April 15 and aired at least 73 in-show and commercial promotions for their April 15 coverage of the events.

Faux didn't want anyone to miss out on this earth shaking event.

The bad thing is that MSM carried the event as well.
Last night on the generic nightly news they highlighted this revolt..ohhh.. I mean revolting group.

3. All of the channels were discussing it....as Fox gave the an excuse.
Wondered what would have happened if the Stop the Iraq war marches would have been so heavily advertised, promoted, and covered like these small gatherings were? Perhaps the media could have helped keep a war from happening, and in the process save American and Iraqi lives and a trillion dollars.....

Instead the corporate interest work hard on dividing Americans and keeping them that way.

Sad how unhelpful our media is considering what the founders had envisioned.

2. That's real grassroots!

:sarcasm:

At this point I have to wonder if their viewers really just do not understand the difference between grassroots and astroturf.

I don't know why I'm continually surprised by the way their audience seems to have such a tolerance for being jerked around by the nose... but I am.

5. Their ROI was paltry

For all the promotion of these "teabagging parties" the turnout should have been much better than it was.
