Poll question: Whats more important to you?
Edited on Thu Apr-16-09 12:32 PM by TZ
Curious. I am a need to go forward not look backward kind of person

On edit: Assuming both can be done at the same time..I'm just asking what it is that you PERSONALLY think is the priority and why.
As much as I think prosecution is deserved I think at this point in time it could be so divisive an issue that it might bring more harm than good. If we didn't have two wars, and an economic mess to deal with I might feel differently. My opinion though. I'm sure plenty will disagree.

1. I think both are about as equally important.
Good thing it's a false dichotomy.

10. I'm not saying both can't be done.
I'm just curious to see what people BELIEVE is more important.

2. Both can be done, but the economy's effects hit everybody and are long term.
So I picked fixing the economic mess.

3. Is it difficult to do both?
That is an insult to the President.

5. I'm asking what people PERSONALLY think are more important
Not what the President can or cannot do. Just curious on opinions. I'm not trying to suggest that both can't be done..just where people's priorities lay.

4. Both can be done. It's just a matter of the order in which they're done, I think.
I'm vaguely in favor of prosecution, but not until there are undeniable and widely praised signs of economic recovery, for purely political reasons.

14. We desperately need an Obama second term so I want him to play the politics too.
I can't think of a single wannabe on the other side that has the guts or the stewardship to do either task.

6. There's no reason to choose.
In fact, prosecution of Bush/Cheney crimes is important.

Had Clinton prosecuted the Sr. Bush/Reagan crimes, many of the personalities who created this mess would have been out of the picture in 2000 or at least severely crippled.

That said, I voted Economy.

8. The economy WILL be fixed. No doubt about it.
It is only a matter of how quickly it can be fixed.

There are no guarantees on getting the War Criminals, so I say that is more important.

It's not like Obama is all tied up personally handling everything... he has people, you know.

If we lived in a binary world, where you could only have one or the other,
I don't think the prosecution of a couple of criminals would help my friends and family who are unemployed find work!

16. Prosecuting Boobya and Shotgun is, at least, possible. "Fixing" the economy is not.
If by fixing it you mean going back to what it was a year ago...those days are gone and they ain't comin' back. To paraphrase Springsteen.

19. I'd say doing the second would restore some cofindence in the econonomy.
Especially if their fiscal crimes were brought to light as well as all their other sordid work.
