To hell with the Democrats who had the power to impeach Bush and didn't do it...
Bastards. With the release of the torture memos today, we have PROOF that the Bush administration is guilty of FUCKING WAR CRIMES. An impeachment hearing would have brought that to light. Bush could NOT have claimed executive privilege over it because it would have been evidence in an IMPEACHMENT HEARING. If he hadn't turned over the memo, he could be impeached for that action in and of itself.

But, NOOOOOOOOOOOO, "it wasn't the right time." "We didn't have the votes." (Well, if the investigation had started, and this had come out, we WOULD have gotten the votes).

It only leads me to the conclusion that Nancy Pelosi and others in Congress were COMPLICIT. THEY KNEW, and they APPROVED. And, they were covering their own asses.

And, it seems that right now, President Obama (who I voted for, and I like, but he gets criticism for this, and if I'm wrong I'll publicly apologize) is trying to cover up those war crimes.

That torture was done in MY name, and in YOUR name. And, NOT PROSECUTING it is a crime. WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED TO OUR COUNTRY??

Fuck you, Nancy Pelosi. Fuck you, John Conyers. Fuck every damned Republican in Congress, and everyone who looked the other way (and continue to look the other way.)

Excuse me now, I have to :puke:

We lost it after our Democrats got the majority and decided "impeachment is off the table." But you are right THEY KNEW and they APPROVED of it.

4. The fact that they looked the other way still pisses me off.
We had the chance and didnt take it. This could come back to bite us in the ass as Neil and Jeb Bush could still be contenders in 2012. Of course I hope the American people are not stupid enough to continue the Bush oligarchy but I'm not ruling anything out.

The simple fact of the matter is though - We NEED to make sure these fuckers never achieve power again as long as they're around. Period. End of story.

5. I think that every one of the members of Congress knew about these crimes
and only a handful had the courage to speak up. My DINO Congressman, Jim Marshall said that he thought laws might have been broken but it wasn't the time, during war, to investigate...that we had to support the "commander-in-chief," who turned out to be the "war-criminal-in-chief."

I'm so pissed off right now, I'll probably have a damned stroke.

9. I think what's happened is that our nation has lost its collective will
After eight years of tyranny and oppression, too many Americans have become soft and compliant, averse to confrontation, and all too willing to sweep injustices under the rug in the same of some kum-ba-yah idealism.

On the other hand, you have all of these ridiculous teabaggers and all of their outrage - they'll protest helping out people with their mortgages, but not war crimes and illegal wars.

they can forget it, yes, these crimes were done in all of our names, maybe we (and Congress) were all wiretapped by the bush regime, criminals to the highest degree. I want to see Dick get his so bad, he has been the force behind all miserable 8 years of hell, he put his plan into action a very long time ago, and justice must be done to him. Very frustrating.

21. The Dems in Congress were just doing their jobs
They serve moneyed interests...and that doesn't include most of us here.

I'm most disappointed in all of the people here who argued that it wasn't important to hold ourselves accountable for torture and all of the other things going on...and most especially, the people who claimed "a deeper game of strategy was being played"

Ya, it was so "deep" that you found yourself in the deep end when our leaders told you to "jump."

You have no idea how many letters I sent to Pelosi and ALL of the Dems on the Judiciary Committee!!! I wrote until my hand hurt. I wanted them to PHYSICALLY see how I felt about getting those 2 fucking criminals impeached. They weren't going to just hit a button and voila the emails are gone.

Of course Shooter had his own assassination squads and he could have been threatening 'accidents' to family members.

But when they didn't write up articles of Impeachment, I knew it was over. And it remains over. During the election, I knew Obama was not what he appeared.

This isn't the first time Obama has gone against his promises...all we'll get is bones tossed our way. The Banksters own him....just look at all of our money given to them. See their profits today?

WASF.

I am almost ashamed to call myself American. So many people say that other countries hate us because of our freedom, the fact is they hate us, (and by us I mean our government, etc.) because we stick our proverbial nose where it doesn't belong and create irreparable chaos, and then say it was their own damn fault for not being us to begin with! There are many other countries in the world with the same rights as we have, they just do not do what we do.

It is more important to them to play politics than uphold the law or do the job the people elected them to do.

Obama has a law degree and is a Constitutional scholar, right?

That Obama is doing nothing should speak volumes to everyone.
