Gen. Barry McCaffrey on MSNBC said there should be Prosecutions for those who ordered Torture!
Edited on Fri Apr-17-09 02:56 PM by KoKo
Pat Buchanan said we needed to do it and it stopped a terrorist attack in LA. General McCaffrey said it was wrong, it hurt us internationally and while the Cia who did the torturing shouldn't be prosecuted those at CIA and up to Jutice Department elsewhere should be held accountable. Said "those who ordered this never had themselves hit on the head." He said it was against the Geneva Conventions and International law.

Surprised to hear that from him since he is one of the Generals criticized for being paid by cables who also gets provits from the Military Industrial Complex.

It was a very strong statement from him.

8. Reminds me of what Bush said to Gonzo...
"Keep the Faith". I think someone's going down, but it certainly isn't Cheney. Maybe Bush. Seem like he's been a patsy from the get-go.

6. I heard him. He agreed with not going after the agents but wanted a commission of some
sort to look into the matter and possibly go after the people who ordered the torture.

I think the next step is for Congress to set up some sort of Commission to look into the issue.

7. If there are investigations it should be into those who ordered them
and anyone who went outside what was endorsed - for any sadists out there.
