Is it true that some prisoners died while being tortured?
I have read that there were more than a hundred? Does anyone have more specific information??

But, we must all admit, that if someone dies while being tortured, then maybe they were killed by the torture? If this is true, what would it make the torturers?? What if their superiors gave them the orders??

1. If they died, it would not be from torture..
because..according to the memos I read..we don't really torture. We don't inflict severe mental or physical pain. Our techniques are just uncomfortable. Plus, we don't do it in the United States, and it seems Congress only regards these activities torture if they take place inside the United States. Sometimes after someone is 'not tortured' they may be susceptible to pain when the next 'not torture' event occurs, but if the intent of the 'non-torturer' is not to harm, than it's all good.

2. Yes, some prisoners died
Murdering prisoners was not one of the "acceptable" torture techniques that were in those memos.

Those memos didn't make every single torture technique acceptable. Just a subset, things that the CIA agents specifically sought a ruling on.
