Never noticed it before, but Yahoo has a section now called BUZZ UP, at the end of each news article. By clicking on the BUZZ UP icon, it takes you to a comment section.

You can vote up or down on a comment, and if it gets enough down votes, your comment is taken out.

A Liberal or Moderate comment lasts no time before it is gone. Apparently BUZZ UP is heavily Freeped and all you end up getting from reading the comments is an extremely right wing voice.

I really don't know how to contact Yahoo and tell them that there is already a free republic web site, but from what I can see, the way it stands now, BUZZ UP is worse than useless for most people with the exception of the extreme right who like to hear themselves in an echo chamber.

1. Comcast is pretty much the same
Even their 6 word 'headlines' often have a RW spin to them. The comments aren't any better.

Much better off getting your news from DU!

2. Let me introduce you to "SpEak You're bRanes' Twat-o-Tron"
Edited on Sat Apr-18-09 05:45 PM by muriel_volestrangler
It's a blog that looks at the stupid shit left as comments on the BBC's "Have Your Say" news comments, or sites like the Daily Mail (a RW tabloid that thinks it's a serious newspaper) - full of idiotic RW howls. The Twat-o-Tron is an automatic comment generator so you don't have to bother wading into the real swamp.

Sample output:
When will people realise that Obama is banning nuresry rhymes. Soon we will bring abck the cane thatll teach em. You heard it here first!!!

BNP_RULES Wirral

I read about this in the Daily Mail. here come the pc brigade and the nanny state! the bastions of political correctness are taking our ocuntry away from us. Every British working man mus tshoot on sight. Sad but true!!

Decent Chap Londonistan

Typical. its the ethnic minorities, gays and lesbians complaining again. communists re making it illegal to be patriotic because Gordon is too busy lining his pockets. True patriots must elect Boris Johnson as primeminister. Honestly this country !!??

My country is being betrayed The Real World

etc.

3. The most hateful rhetoric of the right gets the most votes.
That is completely insane.

4. The Yahoo news headlines often have repuke slant too
It seems to me, at least, that even their news headlines / stories have a pro-repuke bias. My e-mail address is through Yahoo, so for convenience, I have them as my explorer home page. I frequently see headlines like: "Gingrich slams Obama handshake..."
Who gives a rat's ass what low-life Gingrich thinks?

For a long time, I've wondered who owns Yahoo and the reason behind their FAUX type propaganda. Don't have the free time to do the research however.
