2. i saw him playing ice hockey on Oprah...
...and it was amazing. apparently, the disease affects stop/start motion, but not continuous movement as much. so when he was ice skating, he looked completely symptom free. it was really incredible to watch.

I was talking to a friend about the stem cell research and the great promise it holds for those with severe disabilities. We agreed that * could care less about such persons.

* would prefer to see people blind and in wheelchairs and/or paralyzed, etc., rather than see them get better and become useful again.

What an evil man has passed our way.

I hope Mr. Fox finds help soon with his illness. I know it is hell for him.

:dem: :kick:

4. He is on the tv show, "Rescue Me" this season in guest role...
They had him remain seated on a sofa and his tremors were not obvious, but even in that controlled environment he had some facial tics. It worked for the role because the character Tommy, with whom he is interacting, becomes confused by him (thinking the guy was f_king with him).

I wish only the very best for Michael J. Fox. Sadly, I can't kick that Foul-Mouthed Limbut's ass as he truly deserves.

6. I think he is doing pretty good really
I know others with Parkinson's disease and they really seem to struggle horribly.

Many are able to keep going and continue to work but others have to toss the towel in.

It is a whole new life becoming disabled.

I am amazed the way he manages to do so many things!

More power to him! :D

7. Just one question.
If he didn't care why was he the first President to authorize federal funding for stem cell research?

8. Bush vetoes embryonic stem-cell bill...September 25, 2006
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush used his veto power Wednesday for the first time since taking office 5 1/2 years ago, saying that an embryonic stem-cell research bill "crossed a moral boundary."

The bill, which the Senate passed Tuesday, 63-37, would have loosened the restrictions on federal funding for stem-cell research.

House Republican leaders tried Wednesday evening to override the veto, but that vote was 235 to 193, short of the necessary two-thirds majority.

"This bill would support the taking of innocent human life in the hope of finding medical benefits for others," Bush said Wednesday afternoon. "It crosses a moral boundary that our decent society needs to respect. So I vetoed it." (Watch as Bush says the bill 'crosses a moral boundary' -- 2:04)

Attending the White House event were a group of families with children who were born from "adopted" frozen embryos that had been left unused at fertility clinics.

9. They would have loosened the restrictions on the funding Bush authorized in 2001.
