You have much of the party base up in arms, and WE WON'T GIVE UP ON RETAINING CONSTITUTIONAL LAW!
You can't just selectively "look forward" to avoid punishing the powerful for their crimes. Unless you release all prisoners from prison for their crimes "to look forward", it will look like privileges for the few. BOTH the right and the left will attack you for that sort of thing.
At what point do you realize that you will be MORE distracted from focusing on the economic problems and the many other problems facing our nation if you don't appoint a special prosecutor you can delegate responsibility for doing the right thing and prosecute wrongdoing that deserves punishment. THEN you can move forward to doing other things, without us CONTINUING to ask you questions about why you aren't prosecuting these unforgivable crimes that threaten to harm the very democracy we value so much in our country.
If you don't at some point realize that it will cost you more to do continue to evade this, you will also fail in your other efforts to fix the economy as well as expose your lack of prosecution as not being for what you are saying it is, but because there are still more powerful entities than our government pulling strings on you and others there that need to be taken down!
