Teachers in most states are Mandatory Reporters
That means that if they reasonably suspect abuse of a child, or witness abuse, they are required by law to report it. If they fail to report abuse, they could go to jail for it.

But this isn't about teachers - it's about torture. Are military officers - or any other public servant - under the same mandate?

1. What about psychologists and physicians
who played a significant role in the torture? Unfortunately I think that mandatory reporting laws only apply to children and youths on American soil.
