2. Nixon and China. Reagan and the USSR. But Obama and anyone?!
The essence of being a rightwinger is to constantly have an extremely large bug up one's ass.

18. these nuts complained about Reagan too
The only difference is they were a smaller part of the Republican party. Now they are the only ones in the party. Reagan too liberal to be a conservative in the modern Republican party.

4. no, we were 'friends' with brutal dictators. i guess being friendly is worse.
look!! dubya IS wearing a flag pin while he's holding hands with that saudi guy. i think getting down on your knees and BEGGING another country to prevent the decrease of oil production is a far worse thing than being respectful and sociable with the head of another country.

6. Ugh, my whole family is flipping out about this...
and considering Latin America is my area of expertise, the questions and hits just keep on coming.

For the love of jim, why do the media feel as though Americans must have something trivial to flip out about each day? Can people not existed without their own sense of righteous indignation? I can't stand it.

Don't even get me started on the book Chavez gave Pres. Obama, and the idiot commentary about it.

9. It's a measure of how much our culture has been degraded
by all those Republican years that mere civility is cause for uproar.

Everything he said about Obama and Chavez, you could have said about Reagan and detente. It's all bullshit.

11. I guess that When Chavez went to shake his hand,
Obama should have decked him.

Is that what everyone was expecting him to do?

17. They'll never get it.... stupid parochial fools...
When the new community organizer comes into a parish/neighborhood,
the first thing he/she has to do, is get out on the street,
and meet everyone... everyone!

Meet and greet the locals, like the newspaper owner, the barber,
the doctor and the trash collectors..

And meet the Big Guns: the debt collectors, the tyrannical school principal,
the druglords and even the gang leaders...

You get out and find out who holds the aces, who holds the paperwork on
the Big Names... and who's still working the strings on the powerbrokers.

You find out where the bodies are buried, you find out the old blood feuds,
and who's carrying the family heritage.

It's common sense.. and Obama's working the world as if it's his new
neighborhood.

The republicans are still petty players... they want to resume the old
family fights with the neighbors: "Your grandfather disrespected my grandfather,
and if I see you, I'll kill you.." Idiots.

There's a new sherrif in town with a new game plan; get with the program.
