i remember feeling like all hope was lost the day the words "impeachment is off the table" were uttered. i didn't understand. i just couldn't wrap my head around those words. then we saw the dems hang the last 8 yrs around mccain's neck. the election was a landslide.
i don't agree with this chess bullshit, even though it worked. if they HAD impeached how many people would have been saved from being tortured? would we have been able to stop the war sooner, and prevent the deaths of more american lives?
fast forward. now we have blatant irrefutable evidence of torture. but there will be no prosecutions of those individuals involved in said torture. we kept "our powder dry". yet again, there is no consequences for those who acted unlawfully and morally bankrupted our country.
hey, look what we did. wasn't that awful?!?!
now back to your regularly scheduled program...
i don't know what to think of all of this. again, i find myself trying to wrap my head around this. i think to myself, "why?" i just don't get it.
the question i have is this:
if we held back on impeachment, and it somehow allowed us to win an election, what the fuck is not prosecuting war criminals of the last administration going to get us this time? AND... is it worth the X number of human beings that will become new victims of torture and/or die in unnecessary wars?
