I hope this is a lesson to one and all.
Many here don't need it. They have already been taught. They have questioned. They have investigated. They have found out and they have reported, and those of us who were paying attention, those of us who weren't caught up in the cult of personality benefited by their revelations.

And we try to spread the word. But not enough listen.

What the fuck am I talking about?

Excuses made for wiretapping

No prosecutions of torture

Continued war

Fucking the poor and middle class, while taking care of the assholes that crashed this country's economy, right smack into turn four.

Not holding corporations accountable for shipping jobs overseas by the thousands.

I could go on, but really, what's the point? When the rhetoric clears and the results are in, they just don't match up. The power class has won and many of us don't know it yet. They fucked the world up and got fully reimbursed for it, plus got "get out of jail free" cards, to boot.

Fuck them all.

So, next time, can we please be a little more careful, when it comes to selecting a leader of the free world?

P.S. Naturally, I prefer Obama over McCain, so don't go there. It doesn't mean I have to like what I see taking place.

2. Always reminded of this quote:
"The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way, and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theatre."

~ Frank Zappa, 1977

6. that depends on when you would have asked that question of me.

Before the primaries? Al Gore

During the primaries: Kucinich

Once he became nominee? Obama

10. Yep, my exact choices actually... But alas we have a President Obama...
and he gets my full support, even when he might be wrong. Sure as hell would not have wanted another 4 to 8 years of Bush (McCain or worse Palin) ugh.

9. Sadly, Lesson Learned
I had hoped he would be concerned with rule of law because of his constitutional law studies - I thought the better schools taught that none were above the law and justice was not the same as retribution, it would appear that is not taught in the Ivy League.

I though he would be more poor and working class friendly because of his early work with the community - he has forgotten those people.

I was aware that he would be hawkish about Afghanistan, but had hoped he could be moved on that after a time.

I have learned the lesson now, but all that means is that next time I won't wear holes in my shoes canvassing for someone that will never listen to the likes of me and my peers as I do not own a corporation.

Having learned this lesson how can I make any difference at all?

I voted for Kucinich in the primary, but the corporate media will never give the likes of him the air time to explain saner policies so what can I do after learning?

This is not rhetorical, I am seeking advice,
