The poor old guy. His job is to be a conservative balance on MSNBC shows. He works from morning till night. How many days do we see him doing Morning Snarl, shots all day with the dopes like The Airheaded Contessa, Hairballz, Schultz, Matthews, Olbermann, and Maddow ...... and then it again the next day.

And he loses every debate.

He's like the point guard for the Washington Generals.

8. ROFL!
It's pretty obvious. You can see how he goes on auto-pilot and then at some point realizes that he just said a bunch of ridiculous ass bullshit.

9. He's the old-grumpy guy version of Mika
Edited on Mon Apr-20-09 06:26 PM by SoCalDem

they all have a role:

Mika is the befuddled "gal-Friday"/sidekick/non-understander of the double-entendre/eye-candy for the 40+ male audience

those 40+ers know they could NEVER catch a 20-something Foxette, but Mika is more "attainable"..

XenophobePat is the washed & scrubbed KKK-wannabee on Sunday morning..all full of piety & certainty, and yet his ideas are as loathesome as can be

Tweety is the wide-eyed innocent who asks the questions.. why is the sky blue, daddy?...why don;t the people of the world like us?..even though he's a well-educated, savvy guy, his persona is a naive noobie who needs it all "splained to him

3. Chris is asking what did we do in S. America... Chris must have
little time to educated himself about the subjects he is paid to know about. Pity that.

"In dictatorships we are more fortunate than you in the West in one respect. We believe nothing of what we read in the newspapers and nothing of what we watch on television, because we know it's propaganda and lies. Unlike you in the West, we've learned to look behind the propaganda and to read between the lines, and unlike you, we know that the real truth is always subversive."
dissident Czech novelist Zdener Urbanek

"The enormous gap between what US leaders do in the world and what Americans think their leaders are doing is one of the great propaganda accomplishments of the dominant political mythology."
Michael Parenti

"There is nothing puzzling about America's gratuitously aggressive foreign policy. What an aggressive foreign policy accomplishes by slow degrees, a state of war accomplishes in a trice. Overnight kills reform, overnight it transforms insurgents into traitors and the Republic into an imperiled realm. Overnight it strangles free politics, distracts and overawes the citizenry. Overnight it blasts public hope."
Walter Karp

"Societies characterized by enduring deep divisions of income and wealth, such as most third-world societies, are wounded societies with little sense of the common good... As America drifts in this direction, ending poverty and redistributing income should be at the top of the national agenda."
Charles Derber, Corporation Nation

7. He's LOVING life..
He probably is making MORE now than ever before, and he has HOURS and HOURS of time on tv to bloviate..

Deep down he knows he's full of shit, and that his ideas are weak at best and dangerous at worst, but he's being very well paid for playing the buffoon..

11. I notice he hasn't been on Rachel's show
in quite a while -- last year, it seemed he was on at least once a week.
