"Cenk Of The Young Turks Pushs MSM Conspiracy That Tea Parties Were “Funded” By (R) Party, Fox..."
Ok, the absurdity of this makes it entertaining IMO. I stumbled onto this extreme right wing blog earlier today that was written partly in response to :

It seems that left-wing commentators just couldn’t stand those Tea Parties that happened the other week. Among the claims left-wing commentators are making is that they were being “funded” by the Republican Party and FOXNews. Other Leftie bloggers attempted to allude that the 9/11 “Truth” Movement, white supremacists and also Lyndon LaRouche supporters were the ones whom were “funding” the Tea Parties.

Truth is that the Tea Parties were really non-partisan. There was no real major supporter of these Tea Parties. The fact that some of the Tea Parties had Republican operatives or had other extremists engaged in trying to hijack these Tea Parties is all a form to certainly discredit the Tea Parties. But apparently, the host of the Young Turks radio show, which was once on the far left-funded Air America-Cenk Uygur had stated to promote theories which a certain hapless CNN correspondent claimed that it was being “funded” by the Republican Party even though the Tea Party protesters were just average folks whom were disgusted with the political process in general!

Why didn’t Cenk ever mention that? All the people whom rallied on Tax Day just wanted government accountability in preventing the government from spending so much of their tax dollars on worthless programs. What the far left has attempted to do is smear these Tea Parties to suggest that they are either A) hijacked by the Republicans or B) hijacked by extremist nutjobs.

The only ones whom should really be considered the arch extremists are the shills whom favor government intervention and that’s who Cenk Uygur seems to be protecting.

This is amusing on several levels. For one thing, the author of this post didn't provide any evidence that contradicted the idea that there was big, right wing money behind the Tea Bagging (you'd think he would have *at least* claimed "the left" had no evidence). Also, TYT is no longer funded by Air America, they're on XM/Sirius and get most of their money from members and YouTube (in other words, they have no big liberal or corporate donors 'tainting' their views).

And of course as Thom Hartmann has beautifully pointed out, most of the Tea Baggers had no idea .

And while I'm sure it's true that the didn't represent the feelings of EVERYONE who was Tea Bagging, it's quite clear that there were plenty of dangerous nut-jobs to go around:

2. 2 Things
Edited on Mon Apr-20-09 06:30 PM by ihavenobias
1)-I don't know. The show is streaming live right now at www.theyoungturks.com (and the XM hour starts at 8pm EST), but I almost never watch it live, even for the live chat. I pretty much always podcast the show later the same day or the next day.

2)-Apparently more Tea Bagging is scheduled for July 4th, so as much as we may like it to be, it's not old news.

:)

7. The tea-baggers aren't taking any guff from anybody
And they don't care whom you are!

Not to mention the laughable "non-partisan" assertion: The clip of the guy in Florida telling the crowd that (1) they all got tax cuts courtesy of the Obama economic plan; and (2) if folks were mad about government spending, maybe they should start with two unnecessary wars of empire begun by President Obama's predecessor. If it was "non-partisan," it must have been all those agents provocateurs planted by George Soros who were booing him so heartily.
