Obama: Bushco Is Off The Hook and Walking Free
Obama didn't even use the leverage he had against the republicans, he didn't hold it over their heads like a sword. He had an ace up his sleeve and he just threw it away by telling Bushco that he wasn't interested in any crime they may have committed. Bushco is free to go about their business.

You or me would have been in the slammer already with consecutive life sentences, but Bushco is free and clear.

Suddenly I feel as if I have been wasting my time trying to do the right thing.

2. Yes he has. Again, you fail to read the statements that both Holder and Obama released.
Read it carefully. They haven't closed the door on administration officials being investigated.

16. What they have done is toss it to the American public - so what are you going
to do about bringing the Bushies to justice?

8. That means nothing. The statements from Obama and Holder are what matter
And they were carefully crafted

5. Impeach him.
Edited on Mon Apr-20-09 08:14 PM by Davis_X_Machina
If he's not taking care to see that the laws are faithfully executed, he's in violation of his oath of office.

Impeach him, and make sure Biden knows why. Then Biden will act.

Here is a page with links to the addresses, fax numbers, and e-mail addresses of the members of the House Judiciary Committee, where the process starts: House Judiciary Committee.

I recommend starting with Reps. Sensenbrenner or King -- you'll find them the most receptive.

If you're not willing to take this step, then other issues are actually more important. Or this issue isn't as important as you claim it is.

Or you're blowing hot air.

10. False options
There are many steps we can take, and are taking, besides calling for impeachment.

(including calling our representatives as you suggest).

If you truly want this decision reversed, though, your derogatory closing comment is unhelpful.

13. I take it then...
...that the issue isn't as important as your OP painted it.

Or you're just blowing smoke.

11. Ha! Sensenbrenner? ..oh...
for impeachment? Yeah that should work. And I'm sure Sensenbrenner would then prosecute the past administration, right? No that can't be. Obama is the only one in the United States that can investigate, right? I am continuously amazed at the plethora of knowledge about how our government works.

12. Impeach him?
Yeah, sure. Just like I impeached Bushco. All the words and efforts to see just a sliver of justice weighed down on that crew for all the shit they put the world through has gone for naught. It's why I campaigned for Obama, because I thought he would do the right thing. And he's not gonna do a damn thing, and you want me to waste more time to try and impeach him?

That's fucking god-damned idiotic. Take your shit somewhere else, please.

17. Oh yeah?
And what the fuvk are you doing? What the fuxk have you done?

I fought long and hard just to get the damned vote stealing voting machines unplugged and some folks are running around plugging them back in. And here you are telling me I need to impeach Obama, preaching to me, telling me to attempt the impossible. Meanwhile the world as we know it is caving in around us and Obama's letting the criminals walk.

Go away.
