America's Health Insurance Plans, the insurance industry lobbyist group, was caught red-handed using deceptive tactics to oppose President Obama's initiative that would end giveaways to private insurance in the Medicare Advantage program.

They were faking letters to the editor and even impersonating a senior citizen's relative!

Some of those seniors are unaware that they have sent any such letters to newspapers. Some of them hadn't even heard of Medicare Advantage.

2. Has President Obama been made aware...
What these worthless fucking Death Merchants are doing?

I wish he would get it in his head that the Death Merchants need to stay the Hell away from health care. They only use death care for a business model, and will NEVER contribute anything constructive towards health care.

4. They fake disease advocacy groups ie American Lyme Foundation.

AARP is owned by an insurance company. MS Society newsletter has huge ads and articles devoted to treatments that cost over a thousand dollars a month for life. (Disclosure: Some of them work for some people).

Research is heavily skewed toward lifetime "treatments" or vaccines they hope will be required, not cures.

They made a vaccine years ago for Lyme AND they STILL do not have good tests to know who does and does not have Lyme. The CDC/FDA only required the tests to find 39% of the disease when it is in the blood and Lyme leaves the blood goes deep tissue in 3-5 months. The disease is a relapsing/remitting disease, cousin to Relapsing Fever and Syphilis.

In 1993 we had an insurance actuary, relative of a member come speak at a support group meeting that said that the insurance companies already knew that lifetime treatment for chronic Lyme was easily double that of AIDS (before AZT) and that the insurance companies would find a way not to have to pay for it.
