Okay ... is there a lot of difference between the subjects of these two stories?

Okay ... is there a lot of difference between the subjects of these two stories?
On the one hand, we have this headline from the Right Coast Times (in 1999):

Judge Denies Gotti Request To Bar Tapes From Wiretap









On the other hand, we have this story from today's Left Coast Times:

Jane Harman denies CQ report she was heard on NSA wiretap lobbying for AIPAC officials







Apart from the particulars, I ain't seein' a while lotta difference.

Both good dressers

Both used to being in the limelight

Both talked too much to the wrong people

Both, it might be said, saw the law as "Not Applicable"
