Would someone please explain this?
Humans move the hour hand on the clocks. How does that
translate to more hours of sun for grape vines?

How does adding Double Daylight (2 hours) make plants suitable
to plant/grow in a colder climate?

Daylight Savings!
Thanks to Bush legislation, Oregon winegrapes now get extra daylight in regards to Daylight Savings. This has sent cheers through the local wine industry; although, environmentalists express alarm. The extra daylight, they say, excelerates global warming. Some environmental extremists even refused to change their clocks.

Vineyard managers had to prune early this year. The extra sunlight will bring bud burst a few weeks early. Hopefully, the shorter nights won’t produce frost.

If extended Daylight Savings becomes permanent, we will see grapes planted in new areas previously too cold. The Puget Sound AVA has petitioned for a double Daylight Savings time. With two extra hours of daylight, Washington will be a serious contender in the Pinot market. ◊ AF!

3. Yup. Either an April Fools joke or a record for idiocy.
I remember the evening news did a story many years ago about the terrible spaghetti harvest in Italy and how it was a disaster for the farmers. They showed poor Italian farmers harvesting the spaghetti from pasta trees.

5. Hey now, that spaghetti is delicate stuff. Pull it off the tree too early or too late and you've
got a mess on your hands. Oh, and don't even get me started on the marinara nuts! They're so so oily!!

7. LOL!
I do remember that. How funny.

Well, I do not have a sense of humor today either. So it's that
plus Monday's exhaustion from broken bones & driving and seeing a surgeon who knows what he's doing. Hopefully surgery won't be
necessary but damn, it's been 4 months of exhaustion & bleeding and
slow-to-heal bones and I am tired.

I guess I am 100% literal this week.

Thanks!

2. How does fiddling with manmade clocks change the amount of sunlight, exactly?
Am I missing something?

6. They like the illusion that they can some how control the Sun
or the rotation of the Earth. I never understood the this half baked idea, it is really annoying.
