If not the whereabouts and locations of the leaders then what were they tortured for?

How much of the questioning was video-taped? Can we see the videos?

They were simply interested in inflicting pain. To stress someones brain to the point of breaking and the making them say whatever you want. These guys probably confessed to bombing pearl harbor. Then they just released them for no reason! Probably programmed to go blow something up so we can send in air strikes.
