I don't even want to think what this state will be like if he gets in.
Why don't these disgraced pols (Gingrinch, Delay, CHENEY!!) just go away?

2. He kept us safe on 9/11.
Those of us who weren't killed or injured, that is.

7. And among the "injured" also include
the people who lived and worked in the area who came down with respiratory diseases because they were deliberately lied to about the the air quality.

Also, Ghouliani was going to withhold 9/11 contributions made to the city until the end of the following March--only the public outcry made him change his mind. Why the end of March--enough time to generate and keep the interest?

4. Pray for New York.
Rudy made the twin targets in NYC even more tempting for terrorism.

What would he do with the entire state in his claws?

10. IMO Giuliani would not stand much of a chance against Andrew Cuomo.
Giuliani likes playing the tough guy. But A. Cuomo is pretty tough himself.

Paterson is not a good test case right now for Giuliani's chances, because Paterson is extremely unpopular. It would honestly surprise me if he even made a run for it. I like the guy. But he bungled the Caroline Kennedy issue awfully badly and seems to have very few cards to play in general.

A. Cuomo, although it was Mario I really loved, would likely defeat Giuliani. If Giuliani loses the gubernatorial race on top of his disastrous 08 presidential bid, he's going to be down for the count. Plus his life as a "consultant" is likely more lucrative.

Barring some unforeseen development, I think Andrew Cuomo is New York's next governor.

11. A month or so ago, much maligned "gossip" columnist said he WON'T run
Yes, I know the NY Post is a RAG, wingnut, owned by MURDOCH, etc., etc.

I also know that "gossip" does NOT equate to "UNtrue."

Anyway, can't find the link now, but Cindy ADAMS (the oldest person in the world named "Cindy") ran an item saying GHOULiani would go through all the motions, would do all the "exploratory" steps, would do all the "listening" trips and townhalls, but in the end, would NOT run.

Besides being BF with BahBwah WAHwah, she swims the cocktail circuit on both sides of the stream, is a wingnut, but is pals with both the CUOMOs and the PETAKIs, and Teresa KERRY sits on her kitchen floor playing with her Yorkies. But, more to the point, she frequently runs items saying, "As I reported MONTHS ago, (such and such) has now happened."

All I read at THE RAG are the gossipers and the horoscopes, and the gossipers are more reliable.
