Word of the day: Explansion
Edited on Tue Apr-21-09 04:22 PM by TechBear_Seattle
Definition: The increasingly outrageous lies offered to excuse bad behavior.

Related words: to expland, to expland upon

Usage: "The Republicans have been explanding on why the current economic depression is not their fault."

The word was inspired by a misspelling in the current Investment News, a weekly newspaper for financial advisors. The headline for the April 20-24 issue states: Schwab hit by slowing adviser assessments. Data suggests that explansion of the RIA industry may have reached a plateau.

Speaking as someone within the industry, I dare say the above definition provided itself. :toast:

Edited for spelling, grammar and format.
