4. I believe they still have the original manuals.
Ask Scalia. He would know for sure.

3. In context, probably the same as their position on abortion.

Notre Dame University supports free speech on the topic and is honored to have a sitting United States President speak at the university regardless of that President's policies.

Or are you going to claim that the individual opinions of some alumnus, administrators, faculty, clergy, and Randal Terry (a Roman Catholic with no affiliation whatsoever with Notre Dame) are the opinions of the University itself? And ignore the fact that the University chose to ignore the individual opinions of some... and continue with their plans to have Obama speak on May 17th?

9. I dunno. Where were the liberal Catholics?

Why did Liberal Catholics not protest Bush when he spoke there? Or did they? And what would they have protested since he spoke there months before the beginning of his torture regime?

But all of that really has nothing to do with the OP which asked about Notre Dame, not the protestors.

14. I don't know - they probably DID

Liberal and left-wing Catholics go to protests all the time. It's not as if it is a major media event.

6. If you're talking about the 2007 season, they're against it
If you're talking about the Bush variety of torture, the university administration has defended it's invitation to President Barack Obama citing their firm agreement with him on issues of human rights.

8. Good for them. I find the hypocrisy of the Catholic Church quite stunning.
