On MSNBC a few minutes ago some guy who claimed he was stationed at Gitmo said ...
... what he saw there was not torture.

Lawrence O'Donnell jumped on that real quick and asked the fellow, "What did you see?"

The guy clammed up. Anyone else see that exchange?

I would sure like to see that again.

It's only torture if it's done to you
I hope this is all exposed and get it out of the way and convict the Bush cabal once and for all.

2. Then why do it at all? Just give them a comfy chair and a cool drink.

Why do it? Because it's torturous. It's Torture.

For me, just watching the "procedures" would be torture.

I can't imagine going through it.

3. I did and I don't think he said he was stationed there. He said he toured the camp.
Said he saw the guys in the cages and KNEW they were dangerous. O'Donnell said that was like Bush looking into Putin's soul. He made a fool of the guys.

5. YES! I saw it!
O'Donnell was great! What happened was the guy, Republican Strategist Phil Musser was going on about how much he respected Dick Cheney's judgement, etc., and that "Having seen the face of terror, I walked through Camp X-Ray down in Guantanamo Bay when I was serving in the govt. and it changes your nature of the threat to look at the people on the other side ot those fences." Then Nora interrupted him and said "Just by looking at them Phil you could tell they were guilty and they deserved water-boarding?" He said, "I could tell basically that they were gonna..." Nora interrupted again unfortunately and then let Lawrence have at him who said this showed an insight into the Bush administration's thinking and how amateurish, wrong-headed and dangerous it was for jurisprudence and national security. Phil realized he had made a mistake but Lawrence wouldn't let him wriggle out of it. Great exchange! I taped it for my husband to see later. Hopefully someone will post it in the video section.
