These corporate media talking heads can be expected to circle the wagons around their bosses and the politicians they have bought. I donl't expect them to accurately report or represent the process to seek justice around torture and surveillance. Think hard about all the cozy "relationships" they forged in the game of obtaining access with the Rs. How intertwined were they with promoting K Street priorities during the last 8 years? How many married lobbyists, government appointees, etc.? How many chatted up someone in power to get an internship or job for their kid? The media is corrupt too. The allure of a juicy scandal/prosecution will be far outweighed by their desire to protect high salaries and social networks. Besides holding politicians' feet to the fire, we need to continue to hold the media accountable too. There are many balls to keep moving in the air.
