Firedoglake is holding a fundraiser to support its great work. As many of you know, Marcy Wheeler at FDL last week broke the details about the Bush admin's torture policies--something the MSM did not bother to do until Marcy's great work. The NYTimes and other outlets subsequently picked up the story from her.

We need to support our allies as they support us. This is a great opportunity to help a strong labor ally and ensure that quality journalism gets the funding it deserves. It's up to all of us to ensure progressive outlets stay viable.

This is also a good time to encourage everyone to take out blog ads at FDL and other progressive sites. The blog ads are the bread and butter of progressive communication and in these tough times, we need to do all we can. 1. Firedoglake is an excellent site. They do legal legwork over there that

would cross your eyes.

It is THE place for being deep in the legal weeds against the criminal syndicate that hijacked our Country and they deserve our support.

2. This is long past due...

The journalism world is changing fast and blogs can become more of a major player. Marcy Wheeler has done OUTSTANDING cutting edge reporting and analysis... and she's done it on her own time.

She deserves our support as we deserve her talent. DKos has gotten involved with a rec'd diary so maybe word will spread throughout left-blogistan.

If ever there was a win-win situation this is it.
