Charles Grodin on Hannity
Anyone happen to see him? I was flipping through the channels, saw Grodin and wanted to see what he had to say. I only caught the last two minutes or so but he was giving Hannity a hard time about wearing so much makeup, Ann Coulter being his girlfriend, telling him to look up the word "fascism", and asking Hannity in what branch of the service he served. He proudly said he served 8 years, asked Hannity about his service again, and that's when the interview ended. I hope someone posts the interview online.

LOVED him in "Midnight Run" with DeNiro...they were perfect together! Getting ready to watch the Countdown repeat because I only caught the last minute of Janis Karpinski and really want to see her entire interview.

3. He's promoting his new book
So I'm hoping he'll make the rounds and wind up on Countdown and Rachel. I'd like to see him with an intelligent interviewer who will let him speak without interruption.

2. Midnight Run is one of my alltime favourite movies. I had a big crush on Deniro at the time and he
was so funny in it. They both were hilarious.

4. My two favorite parts in that movie were when Grodin posed as an FBI agent
& confiscated all the "bad" $20 bills at a small store; & I loved the ending.

It's one movie that I enjoy watching over & over.

7. The "litmus configuration"!
I'm sitting here, cracking up, just thinking about it! Yes, the ending was perfect!

"Why can't you tell me about the watch? You already told about your feelings for chickens...tell me about the watch". I also like when they were in the dining car on the train and Grodin gives him a hard time about the tip..."That's 13%. These people depend on tips for a living" is a line we say EVERY SINGLE TIME we go out!

"I got a big fuckin' ulcer and all your bullshit's making it bleed"!!

15. a few months ago I ate at the restaurant where that scene was filmed
Pancho McGillicuddy's, in Williams, Arizona. The saloon went by a different name in the film, but that particular business has closed and PM's is now there. We were in Williams with family to see the Grand Canyon, and we didn't know when we picked that restaurant that it was the same place, but as we were leaving my wife noticed a picture of that scene on the wall--they had a small shrine with a few pictures and a flyer telling the story of how they came to the saloon to shoot and (IIRC) used the guys who worked there in the scene. We totally dorked out about that--took our pictures by it and everything. Nobody else in the family quite understood, never having seen it, but we dig that move, and have seen that movie too many times to count. :)

5. ME, TOO!!
I thought the entire movie was perfectly cast and funny as hell!! "Marvin, Marvin..LOOK OUT" "Why do they call you Red? Do you dye your hair?" "How much is the coffee?? 53 cents. How much is the tea? 53 cents." LONG PAUSE AS GRODIN LOOKS AT THE CHANGE ON THE COUNTER "I'll have the tea"

As you can see, I've seen this movie probably 2 dozen times and my best friend and I still throw lines at each other after all these years. We even took the day off from work one time, just to rewatch that movie! I was pregnant at the time, so it had to be 19 years ago...DAMN, I'M OLD!!

He looks great. I saw him the other night on Huckabee, I think it was. He was giving them hell, as usual. He's smart, and can twist the knife when needed.

10. I've always liked him. I have 2 books of his
"It Would Be so Nice if You Weren't Here" and I can't remember the title of the second one - it was ok but I liked the first one better. Anyway, he is very sharp, very funny, humble and vain at the same time. He would be a good talk host in my opinion. He also has always reminded me of Graham Kerr, the Galloping Gourmet.

I love his deadpan manner, but he was fired up tonight. Remember when he used to have a show? I had forgotten about it until Hannity mentioned how he "hated OJ Simpson so much that people tuned into your show just to see if your head would explode". Hannity's a flaming asshole....

27. I live in the mountains of NJ
Whenever I've looked into faster service, it isn't available for my zip code. My land line is through a rinky dink company in Warwick, NY and my cable is through another rinky dink company in Pennsylvania! Sounds crazy, but I can't complain about either because I never have any problems with their service. My grandmother's constantly complaining becuase she's the only person who tries to get through on the land line and "it's always busy...I can never get through"!!! Of course, she also complains that I never call her, that she could be dead on the floor and I wouldn't know because I never call. I always remind her that if she was dead on the floor, she wouldn't be answering her phone anyway!!

32. Thanks!
I should record my conversations with her and post them online! She drives me crazy and if she gets the answering machine, her message is always "You didn't answer the phone, so I guess you don't want to talk to me". HUH?? Sorry for leaving the house!!

She lives in AZ and spent a night at my house a few years ago. It was August, hot and humid, and she was constantly cold. My house is so small that I only need a window a/c in the living room...but my dogs don't take kindly to strangers, so she spent the night in my bedroom and I slept on the couch with the dogs. She kept the door closed, windows closed, and wanted another blanket! She got up to pee EVERY HOUR and each time she did, the dogs started barking!! By the time 6 am rolled around, I had had enough!! The plan was for me to bring her to her friend's house that day, so at 6 am I told her "That's it, I can't take it anymore. Get dressed because I'm bringing you to Gloria's house". She said "But it's 6 in the morning" and I said "I don't care. Call her now and wake her up". Then she asked me how I slept...and laughed when I told her I didn't sleep because she went to the bathroom 14 times during the night!!! She said it wasn't her fault that the DOGS kept waking me up!! She said "I tried to be quiet every time I got up, but that damn dog would jump up and start barking. I don't know how she heard me." Ummmm, they're DOGS!! They can hear my neighbor's cat walk across the street!! Now, every single time we talk, she has to tell me how her friends' dogs all love her and asks when she's going to stay with me again....

She's also a horrible passenger in the car. She's afraid to drive herself, so she works her own gas and brake on the passenger side and is CONSTANTLY telling me to look out for this one and that one! Threatening to leave her on the side of the road does no good at all!! Yes, small doses of Grandma are all I can take!!

he wouldn't be an asshole about talking to and listening to other world leaders and supports liberal social causes. Even if I don't agree with everything he supports, it's still refreshing to see someone hit back at that loudmouthed moran by pointing out that he's a hypocrite and ratings are his #1 concern.
