The torture is bad enough but what they tried to do with the torture is worse....

They tried to get prisoners to confess to an Iraq - Al Qaeda link to justify an invasion of Iraq...

Many, many, many people are dead and maimed because of this.

1. I actually doubt that.
despite the reports, I suspect that, for example, the 182 and the 183rd torture session on KSM was just because the torturers were in the habit of torturing him.

And then:
a) torture produces results - bad results, but results.
b) no results linking al qaeda and iraq, good bad or mediocre, were produced.

What's up with that?
