Torture protects Americans from Al Quaeda.
So says John Yoo, who cites the absence of another 9/11 as evidence.

Maybe the families of the 4000+ killed over on the "central front of the war on terror" can offer some perspectives on just how well torture protected their loved ones? Maybe some of those "Al Quaeda in Iraq" suicide bomber will describe their fear to us?

Indict, prosecute, imprison.

1. Well, Mr. Yoo, it doesn't really at all. Quite the converse, really
It creates animosity abroad and a police state at home, so I think you're sorely mistaken.

2. So why were those soldiers at Abu Ghraib convicted?
If they were bad apples then everyone who did what they did are bad apples too. If torture actually protects us, then those soldiers at Abu Ghraib should be released immediately. How come Yoo wasn't out defending the Abu Ghraib torturers?
