Where has Donald Rumsfeld been hiding?
Not that I mind having Cheney being the face of the party of torturers. And I know Rumsfeld lives near me in one of the Chicago suburbs. But for a guy who likes to hear himself talk so much he sure is quiet isn't he?

Lawyers must have advised him to keep his mouth shut I betcha.

1. Last mention of rummy I heard was that his health is declining.
I think that he and dickie will be die before the are convicted, probably before they testify or are charged. Being a war criminal wears on ones body.

Rice, bush, gonzo and the other lawyers won't have that luxury.

Frederick Douglass lived as a slave.

The name of the plantation was "Mt. Misery." Bet Rummy loves that.

7. Williamsburg, Va.
I believe that's where he spends most of his time - even when he isn't dreaming about getting even with old enemies.

8. Always known as a shrewd infighter, who sold others on his plans.

His line of defense will be one to watch. I guess that includes the silence so far.

12. In MISERY, perhaps?
If you don't know what I'm referring to in that subject line, this article is elucidative: http://www.commondreams.org/views06/1122-21.htm

It's also a cracking good read. Who KNEW that there was intersection between the great abolitionist, Frederick Douglass, and Donald "Hiking Boots" Rumsfeld?

14. The last I heard from Rumsfeld was a rather alarming op-ed...
...in the Washington Pist, uh, Post, entitled, "The Smart Way to Defeat Tyrants Like Chavez," published on December 1, 2007 (a year after his 'retirement')*, in which he urges "swift action" by the U.S. in support of "friends and allies" in South America. In the year that followed that op-ed, the Colombian military bombed the location of the first hostages that Hugo Chavez was getting released from the FARC guerrillas (--Chavez was acting at the request of the prez of Colombia), the US/Colombia dropped ten smart bombs on Ecuador's territory to kill the FARC hostage negotiator, and raided over the border to kill any survivors (25 people killed), and found the "miracle laptop" in the rubble and started accusing the presidents of Venezuela and Ecuador of being 'terrorist lovers'--all of which almost started a war between the US/Colombia and Ecuador/Venezuela. Also, later in the year, the US (Bushwhacks) instigated a white separatist civil war in Bolivia, funded and organized out of the U.S. embassy, to split off Bolivia's oil/gas rich eastern provinces into a fascist mini-state in control of the resources. Ecuador's president said it was a 3-country civil war plot (similar scenarios planned--for Venezuela, Bolivia and Ecuador).

And that's all I know of Rumsfeld since his 'retirement'--his only known interest being the oil in Venezuela and Ecuador, and the oil/gas in Bolivia. I guess, denied the nuking of Iran, he was looking elsewhere for Exxon Mobil & brethren. His interest in toppling "tyrants like Chavez" certainly set off alarm bells in my mind. However, all of the Bushwhack plots to destroy democracy in South America failed (--not to mention, MORE leftists were ELECTED--in Paraguay and El Salvador, adding to the LONG list of CHAVEZ "friends and allies"). So maybe even Exxon Mobil has 'retired' Donald Rumsfeld. Hard to say.

... when they're out of sight. Plotting the next 'terr-rrr attack', no doubt.

And while we're at it, where is John Ashcroft these days?
