A FEDERAL USURY LAW with stimulate spending and grow the economy.
Edited on Thu Apr-23-09 11:13 AM by Toucano
The millions of Americans paying excessive interest on unsecured debt need relief. Lowering their payments will allow them to divert money to new purchases and stimulate job growth.

The financial sector needs to get a grip and realize that 24% APRs are crippling the economy.

Greedy pigs!

1. i don't care if it stimulates anything -- wrong is wrong.
and these interest rates are nothing short of thievery.

continually blaming'the people' for these problems is killing the country.

the republick party should be horse whipped to a fare thee well for repeating it now.

2. Agreed
But doing it because it is just and fair won't happen.

And it's cheaper than giving more bags of money from the U.S. treasury.

3. Fucking usury is what it is
And you would think the holier-than-thou Repukes would read their beloved bibles where usury is banned!

Gee, who would Jesus charge 30% interest?

6. They constantly say we're a Christian nation
But they conveniently overlook the prohibition on usury.

4. It's past due.
The Federal Government should be charged late fees for not implementing such a law 20 years ago.
