Without Media Support, Will Torture Prosecution Ever Get Off the Ground?
I fear that the spate of defenders marched in front of the cameras is just the beginning. The media has been complicit in covering up most of Bushco's most heinous deeds. The corporate masters have not changed. And although yesterday's Gallup poll indicated that the majority of Americans favor an investigation of torture, I have grave doubts the media will assist in elevating this to the front page on a consistent basis.

Can a grass roots campaign alone sustain this issue, or are we bound to watch this crash and burn due to media indifference (or co-conspiracy) and Congressional political apprehensions?

2. I say 'No." I say the media and coopted Democrats like Harmon will squelch any real investigation
Hell, they'll probably bring Whitewash Lee Hamilton and Kissinger in to conduct the inquiry, thereby guaranteeing nothing will be discovered about anybody over the Lyndie England paygrade.

We still don't know the truth about the 1979 October Surprise, Iran-Contra, the Gander, Newfoundland, crash or, for that matter, who shot JFK. The Oligarchy protects itself and much of the media and many Democrats are its slavish servants.

7. That's what the Democrats and lying M$M have done since Iran-Contra.
Hell, other than Watergate, which may have been a Bushie Op to destroy the Nixon Cabal, thus hastening the Bushie ascendance to power, it's waht the Democrats have been doing since FDR let Prescott Bush go in 1935 when he was part of the Bushie-Nazi Cabal that was going to overthrow the government.

Don't believe me? Listen to this:

interference and attempt to neuter any allegations or evidence. "We the People" are responsible for demanding accountability. Speaking of which, I had an idea. Suppose we put together a list of every member of the United States Congress, we divided up the list and made sure every day everyone on the list was contacted. Ah..never mind. Never happen.

9. A Court Order produced the released memos!
This is already in the courts, so there are certain inevitabilities now.
OR, those who do npt act to prosecute known crimes become criminals in doing so.

11. You'd think. But then, so many things in the M$M are the opposite of what common sense

would lead one to think.

Exposing Bushie lies about the Iraq War BEFORE the war started would have been a major scoop and supposedly "media gold"...but it didn't happen.

Given the meteoric rise of Keith Olbermann, and the basic rules that govern almost all media regarding copycatting successful templates, one would think that many others would have long capitalized on such "media gold" and that the Olbermanns and Maddows would be sprouting up on most other stations, other than Faux "News".

Yet still, Olbermann and Maddow, wildly successful templates or not, are still outnumbered by 50-1 by Bushigandists, and are still relegated to a single station, during nights (in the daytime, MSNBC still seems to stick to it's MSRNC and I'll bet is LOADED with 5-1 or 10-1 Bushie Toture Apologists).

In the upside-down M$M, what would seem to be a no-brainer "media gold" is often the opposite, because forces other than making money and common sense are at work here.

However, in the realm of sitcoms and sports shows, such commonsensical rules still apply.

Whoopee.
