what do you think?
-There was no needy person among them, for those who owned property or houses would sell them, bring the proceeds of the sale, and put them at the feet of the apostles, and they were distributed to each according to need. (ACTS 4:34-35)

4. all thought is all altruistic - but the system - still supports private property
Those that did as Jesus did sold extra property to help those that were in need. They didn't get rid of everything, and there was a market for the buying and selling of real property.

7. It's not an endorsement of private property.
It's only an admonition that those with the means should look after those who don't have the means. It's a collectivist principle within the context of the existing property relations. In no way does it affirm those property relations themselves though, or somehow indicate the social property is inferior.

9. but it is an endorsement of the market itself, is it not?
I agree that it does not indicate that social property is inferior. Social property would be superior.

6. The fundies just distort what Jesus actually did or said
They read the bible very selectively. They just ignore parts that condemn hateful people like them. They always try to justify their conduct with some bit of scripture that they take out of context.

8. From each according to ability,
to each according to need. Pure Marxist socialism. This is a direct quote from his "Critique of the Gotha Programme(1875)".

12. You're using a book of fiction to justify "capitalism"?
anyway - distributing someone else's wealth to each according to need - sounds like SOCIALISM !!!

Which is a GOOD THING....
