I know most of you know who he is. He appears frequently as a right wing talking head. He endorsed Obama in the last cycle. He's a Philly radio talker.

This is a crappy picture of him, but oyu get the point.

He was just on Schultz' MSNBC show, on a panel. I'm not a big fan of his, but ......... after he endorsed Obama, he pretty much shed what now seems to have been a sham of being hard right. He has, of late, shown himself to be largely a Rockefeller Republican. A typical "liberal" northeast Republican. And I have to believe he's more liberal than some (quite a few) Blue Dog Democrats.

If you get a chance, listen to him. If what he sounds like starts to be common among repubicans, we're in trouble. Not that you or I (average DU readers) will fall in love with him, but he can have very broad appeal out there in AverageAmericanVille.

Anyway, this all struck me as I listened to him. Did anyone else listen? What did you think?

1. Where are the fundies and freepers going to go if we have reasonable repukes.
I doubt we will be in any trouble. It will take years and some more shellackings before the right gets it.

2. In other words-- a Sophist. "Choose your words, and they'll endorse your fiction"
Rockefeller Republicans are not to be trusted in my book.

The only reason people are paying attention to torture now is because the economy is in the shitter thanks to these types...

4. I thought that the other day he was endorsing torture and using the 24 scenario.
He's a tool. He only changed his words because he's in Philly, not Florida.

5. i have listened to this motherfucker for years...
he's an opportunistic asshole: when he knew that McCain was gonna lose, he got big points among Indies and some others by talking up Obama. I've heard him shout down reasonable centrists and lefties to the point where I almost drove over to the station and and and..well you get the idea...

well, not quite...but you know what I mean...

He's a slimy prick.

Clearly, I don't like him.
