and it's dreadful the silence in pointing out about the torture of Jesus for Christians and what it means to be a Christian. In these dark times even our Cristian voices against torture are drowned out...or maybe they are just too intimidated by their money funders to even try to speak out beyond a few "tweets" here and there.
It's disgusting and it has made me leave my church. But, it has not make me live my Christianity. I think we need to take back the teachings of Jesus...like our Government here, it's all been corrupted.
"enemy of the state." Add to this the powerful symbolism of his dying in between two "common criminals." It's no surprise that republican christians purposely twist and distort this.

or being forced to lay naked in a pile of other prisoners, or sodomized with whatever was handy. Therefore; none of these actions can be considered torture. :sarcasm:
