2. Maybe not the best example. He did survive, after all
Granted, he had a really shitty day, and was dead for three days after that. But once that was over, He was fine.

3. Notice how the RW doesn't want that brought up. Deep Sixed by Christians
and it's dreadful the silence in pointing out about the torture of Jesus for Christians and what it means to be a Christian. In these dark times even our Cristian voices against torture are drowned out...or maybe they are just too intimidated by their money funders to even try to speak out beyond a few "tweets" here and there.

It's disgusting and it has made me leave my church. But, it has not make me live my Christianity. I think we need to take back the teachings of Jesus...like our Government here, it's all been corrupted.

4. And as an
"enemy of the state." Add to this the powerful symbolism of his dying in between two "common criminals." It's no surprise that republican christians purposely twist and distort this.

5. There is no mention in the Bible of Jesus being waterboarded...

or being forced to lay naked in a pile of other prisoners, or sodomized with whatever was handy. Therefore; none of these actions can be considered torture. :sarcasm:

Amen.

6. At least they gave him a trial first.
Of course he was found guilty, and sentenced for his crimes.
