Joe the Plumber Stumping for Steve Lonegan Gubernatorial Campaign -Lonegan's campaign is charging $1,000 for a private meeting with the one-time plumber and the candidate.

TRENTON, NJ (AP) -- Joe the Plumber will be stumping for a New Jersey Republican who is running for governor.

Steve Lonegan's campaign announced the man who became known in the 2008 presidential campaign will appear at a taxpayer rally in Clark on May 5.

Joe the Plumber's real name is Samuel Wurzelbacher. He found himself in the spotlight for asking Democrat Barack Obama about his tax policy. Sen. John McCain referred to him repeatedly as ``Joe the Plumber'' during a subsequent presidential debate.

Lonegan is seeking the GOP nomination for governor along with former U.S. Attorney Christopher Christie and Assemblyman Rick Merkt.

Lonegan's campaign is charging $1,000 for a private meeting with the one-time plumber and the candidate. General admission is $50.

2. Here's one theory...

Joe the Private Lap Dancer
It is unclear why anyone would pay $1,000 for a private session with Joe the Plumber. Given the Republican experience over the last few years with Gannon/Gucket, Larry Craig, various Preachers, etc., it isn’t surprising to see a Republican candidate use sexual favors as a fundraising tool. Still, this is very odd. File this under “nutjobs.”

5. A New Definition For A "Fool & His Money"
I'd bet this asshat will get a bunch of checks, but no one will take him up on the offer of meeting America's "handyman".

Just shows how "grassroots" good old Sammy the Scammer is. The more he shows up at these party functions, the more obvious it becomes that he was a party plant from the outset. He's been created as this right wing "every man" out of whole cloth...gave him a name he didn't have and built up a job he couldn't hold. But Sammy's cashing in...the wingnut fish are so easy to hook.

12. This guy is like the Kato Kailin of politcal hangers-on.
He just won't go away.

Yeah, I'm pissed that McCain's policies were bad for the country, but what I'm really pissed about is that he gave us Sarah Palin and Joe the Dumber. That's his real legacy.
