This business about "we're handing them our playbook" is just bogus.
I have frequently heard RW talking heads, legislators, and RW military types repeat this over and over again about release of details surrounding torture. It is just plain bogus and outright BS. As if we are the only peoples in the world who are creative enough to think of outrageous ways of inflicting pain, fear, and suffering on people. There are as many ways to engage in harming and humiliating another peroson as there are humans in the world. I'd like to see us start shooting that strawman down.

1. Especially since the entire world has known we've been using these specific techniques for years.

3. The right wing lives and breathes sound bites.
It's all they can understand at one time. They don't seem to understand that where it worked in 2000-2008 with a completely complicit media, it no longer will do the job. People have for the most part started thinking for themselves. They were hungry for a more nuanced, complete and complex answers for complex problems.

4. Didn't we "learn" these techniques from the Khmer Rouge?
I mean, what did we do? Trademark waterboarding so now its a corporate secret? If other countries want to "learn our secret" they'll just go to Cambodia. And what'll we do about it? Sue Cambodia?
