NH Senate committee unanimously rejects transgender anti-discrimination bill
Committee also rejected a proposal to permit same-sex marriage:

Concord, New Hampshire - April 24, 2009

A New Hampshire Senate committee voted unanimously to recommend killing legislation extending anti-discrimination protections to transgender people.

(...)

The committee said the state's Human Rights Commission should be able to handle discrimination complaints filed by transgender individuals.

That committee also recommended that the Legislature reject legalizing gay marriage in New Hampshire.

Democratic Committee Chairwoman Deborah Reynolds, a Democrat, said she doesn't think New Hampshire is ready for gay marriage. However, the state approved civil unions in 2007.

1. Other committee actions today: approved seat belt law, medical marijuana.
Key Senate panels voted on four major social issues yesterday, splitting against gay marriage, supporting a mandatory seatbelt law and backing medicinal marijuana. Meanwhile, a Senate committee opted to recommend a commission to study the death penalty instead of taking an up-or-down vote on whether to recommend a bill to repeal the state's current law.

(Well, it's good about the medical marijuana, and death penalty review & seat belt law. So I guess it's a mixed bag this time around.)

3. You're welcome!
I'm actually right next door in Maine, and there's a marriage measure in our legislature, too. So I've been keeping tabs on things in the rest of New England.
