If Karl Rove's moron cousin spanks a prisoner, nothing happens?

If "Good" came from my spanking (He sure behaved himself after that!) I still get arrested
and my parental rights are restricted. Espcially if it wasn't a "normal" punishmnet, but something exotic-- say kicking the kids out of the car and leaving them to find their own way home.

Come on, Righties. Get your heads on straight! You can't hurt another person, even if it makes them behave! EVEN IF IT'S YOUR OWN KID

1. Yeesh. Good point. However,....
... keep in mind that most righties feel you should be able to beat the crap out of your kid -- even in public -- with no repercussions. They feel that child abuse laws associated with corporal punishment are a leftist sham.

3. let them try it in my neighborhood
they find out the kid is not legally theirs, really, but rather a ward of the state.

and hurting the state's property is a crime.

unfortunately, a lot of the worst ones hide the kids and themselves.

but if anybody finds out, it's over.

2. In a perfect RW world, I'm sure they'd like to be able to waterboard their kids
along with difficult wives and people who annoy them on the highway.

4. Preemptive strikes too
I have always had a similar feeling about the logic of Bush & company's preemptive war.

If a husband threatens to kill his abused wife if she should try to leave him, under the preemptive strike logic, why couldn't she snuff him out in the middle of the night without fear of prosecution?

You may say this woman might kill her husband without adequate proof that he really meant it, or have other, secret motives and just SAY he was planning to murder her. So what? That didn't seem to cause much concern when Bush & company had faulty proof and when other motives came to light.
