ACLU info?
The following was posted to the comments section in response to a LTTE (www.greeleytribune.com 4/24) regarding the ACLU's participation in a local case. I'd like to respond to the comment, but haven't been able to find a source for the assertions it contains. Anyone have any info or links? Thanks in advance!

"The ACLU gives lip service to some parts of the Constitution. It completely ignores other parts. Even ACLU insiders agree they are turning away from civil rights and embracing social activism. These champions of free speech even tried to put a gag order on the debates of their executive board."

1. As a card carrying member
of the ACLU I'd simply call the closest local chapter and ask them :)

2. Well..

They don't support the second amendment (at the natl level), nobody's trying to quarter troops so there goes the third, and the ninth is about unenumerated rights, and the tenth is about the states. So one _could_ say they only support 60% of the Bill of Rights, but that's not fair, either.

Without context about some part of the constitution they might or might not be supporting, that's all I can think of.

3. "The ACLU is our nation's guardian of liberty, working daily in courts, legislatures and communities
to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties that the Constitution and laws of the United States guarantee everyone in this country."

BUT

"The ACLU interprets the Second Amendment as a collective right. Therefore, we disagree with the Supreme Court’s decision in D.C. v. Heller. While the decision is a significant and historic reinterpretation of the right to keep and bear arms, the decision leaves many important questions unanswered that will have to be resolved in future litigation, including what regulations are permissible, and which weapons are embraced by the Second Amendment right that the Court has now recognized."

Those two quote above by ACLU show one indisputable example that ACLU does not support all inalienable/unalienable or pre-existing rights enumerated and unenumerated in the Bill of Rights.
