Wilkerson: Cheney is "a man who lives on fear, and he's a fearful man."
Edited on Fri Apr-24-09 08:22 PM by Stephanie

-Lawrence Wilkerson on Rachel just now.

That just sums it up, doesn't it? He tormented us with his fake terra lerts for months and years after 9/11/01 (New Yorkers, do you hear me?) while he was shaking in his jackboots in utter fear. Dick "Chickenshit" Cheney who dodged the draft with five deferments and went underground indefinitely after 9/11 and lives with an implanted machine to kickstart his heart and an ambulance trailing him everywhere he goes, terrified us for eight years because that's where he lives and he wanted some company. And now he's more scared than ever. FU DC. Go F yourself, asshat.

1. I'm convinced
that sooner or later there WILL be war crimes trials. Personally I'd prefer later rather than sooner. Let them sweat in their jocks for a few years, fearfully anticipating the eventual justice. That's torture.

I want him to live long enough to stand trial.

4. You beat me to an OP, Steph. That was a delicious moment, just delicious.
"Cheney is an easily frightened man" -- then he referred to the 5 deferments and the atmosphere of fear created and kept going by Cheney after 9-11.

Col. Wilkerson also rightly pointed out by name how many other countries have lived with far worse terrorist attacks than the US and how they have not dealt with it by diving into a hole and pulling it in after themselves.

This entire thing is unraveling like spaghetti and all I want is some tomato sauce.

9. Dick's cowardice defines their entire administration
The bullying, the posing, the lying. All to hide their fear.

13. "... permanent disbarment ..."
As a proud member of the Bar, it was gratifying to hear General Wilkerson call for those thugs to be disbarred, all of them.

They're embarrassments to a noble profession, and I resent having to identify them as brothers of mine. They are not worthy.

And they're really bad lawyers, too. Those memoranda were shamefully bad, worse than a first-year law student's offering......................

17. The defining element of their entire administration is their profound stupidity
Edited on Fri Apr-24-09 08:41 PM by Stephanie
Remember Dick flunked out of Yale twice and George Jr. finished with a gentleman's C. Doug Feith is the "stupidest fucking man on the face of the earth" and the rest are not so much smarter. This was the Stupid Administration, demonstrably.

http://www.cbc.ca/fifth/dickcheney/ascent.html

Jacob Plotkin was Cheney's Yale roommate.

"It's hard to flunk out of Yale. It's something that one really has to put effort into. Yale at that time tried to make sure everybody who entered graduated.
Where others might spend some time on the weekend studying, Dick was either talking, drinking or playing cards with his football buddies

24. Usually, yes ........
The Bar waits until the courts (or administrative bodies) have done their jobs. It's highly unusual, perhaps even impossible in some jurisdictions, to have a lawyer disbarred without a conviction, unless there's a plea deal............

23. all excellent questions you raised.
concerning the pretzel attack... harry shearer said on his radio show after the incident that it actually happened on the saturday night before the super bowl and when the white house learned that reporters were going to report it, they came out with the pretzel/super bowl story.

It's the only time before or since that he's done that. Maybe it was due to his fear of the millions there to cheer Obama?

root cause is some sort of very deep fear, it is also outwardly armored with stupendous arrogance and utter contempt and disdain for democracy.

31. I've heard people who know him say in essence that he really
went off the deep end after 9-11.

Now, I have to say, I've always thought he was an ass, so I don't think that his more recent behavior is that out of character. But I'm not sure he's always been quite so paranoid as after 9-11.

In any case, yes, agree totally: the man is a complete asshat. Nasty, smirky, just plain evil.

32. Imagine the medications he's on,
with the sorry state of his cardiac health.

I've had friends go onto blood pressure medications, and a few of them underwent absolutely appalling personality transformations. Some friendships ended, friendships of many years' duration. And I wonder what Big Dick's taking and how insane they're making him.

Of course, he was a prick to start with, so .................................

33. He definitely was
But I agree with you. I've seen people who've dealt with serious surgeries, or heart problems - and the coming right up against their mortality has caused some pretty marked personality changes. Doesn't always last, but sometimes it does.

So when you start with nasty and evil, as he did, yeah... imagining the added stuff from that - it's scary!
