I mean the police could clear their books of all their unsolved crimes real quick using torture. If I were being tortured I would admit to whatever they wanted me to admit to. And them some. So would you.

Would we put up with that if this were happening in our own towns?

1. In my town...
the reaction would depend on the suspect's melanin content and/or the country where his mother gave birth.

the police (prison guards) are charged and convicted but usually it is after they go too far and kill someone. And all too often, it takes a very long time to get to the truth, the murders are covered up.

4. If there was a rash of terrorism or mass murders in a town it would probably not be condemned

The citizens would probably increase the police budget.

7. kick
of course, incidents will happen, because there are bad people everywhere, even cops. But torture can never be civic policy for obvious reasons. Righties don't think ahead to the govt they have if that ever happens. They just want to be part of the mob.
