Is FOX News Channel buying up radio stations across America ?
I recently drove from Colorado to Kentucky and had the chance to listen to a lot of talk radio. It seemed to me that there were a lot of stations that identified themselves as part of the FOX News Channel. More than I had ever noticed in the past. I wondered if FOX is buying up a lot of radio stations across America and why? Some of the stations were small and some were large. Has anyone read anything about this?

1. I just noticed that my favorite little oldie station now carries faux
I was driving through the "Valley of No Radio" when the one station that I could depend on getting was blasting away a right wing biased news program.
The next thing I heard was something about fox news. I live in Appalachia; low income area, low level of education. The people love biased right wing bull.
I think you may be correct.

2. Murdoch has been doing this ever since the deregulation in the 90s and it's not just radio
it's also local TV stations and newspapers.

In the same market, this used to be illegal.

But it was deregulated under Clinton and now Murdoch can own as many mediums in the same markets as his wallet will allow.

The reason why: market domination.

3. Clear Channel carries Fox News
as their national news source. If you were in Clear Channel country, and practically the whole US is Clear Channel country, you had the terrible misfortune to hear a lot of Fox. Ugh :puke:
